Raytheon Software Engineering is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Air C2 and Sensors software department in Fullerton, California.

What you will do:

The Air C2 SW product teams develop Command and Control mission critical applications and leverage DevSecOps processes along with best industry practices to meet the threats of today and tomorrow.

  • Perform as a key contributor working as part of a high performing Software Product Team. 
  • Participate in software C2 software application design, implementation, test and maintenance. 
  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance as and when required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant software development experience.
  • Experience in JavaScript / TypeScript, with experience in building dynamic and responsive frontend UI applications.
  • Experience with modern web UI frameworks such as Angular, Vue.js, or React, and a solid understanding component-based architecture.
  • Experience with reactive programming paradigms and frameworks (e.g., Rxjs) for building scalable, event-driven applications.
  • Experience in Java with hands-on experience using popular frameworks and design patterns (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, or similar).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in software engineering in the Command & Control mission planning domain.
  • Proficiency with databases, including database design, transaction management.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous communication patterns, particularly using WebSockets or similar technologies for real-time applications.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively within large, cross-functional teams.

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
